Day of the candidacy

Monday, February 4 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

On Monday, February 4, 2019, 8 political parties submitted their list of candidates for the upcoming Island Council elections. Six of these lists of candidates have an indication (name) on their list. Two are the so-called blank lists (without indication, so there is no name at the top of the list.) On these 8 lists are 126 candidates who have qualified for the coming island council elections.

The number of candidates per political grouping is shown in the attached figure.

In addition to the Island Council elections, the elections for the electoral college Bonaire will be held for the first time this year. Three political parties submitted a candidate list with 54 eligible candidates on Monday, February 4, 2019.
