Kralendijk – This week begins the information campaign on the March 15 elections for the Island Council and the Electoral College. By communicating in four languages, Dutch, Papiamentu, English, and Spanish, we try to reach as many eligible voters on the island as possible.
With the slogan “I vote! You too, right?” in the picture, a voter is informed about where, when, why, and how to vote on March 15, 2023. The website www.BonaireStemt.nl and the Facebook page BoneiruTaVota provide more information about the elections, where, when, why, and how to vote. Specific additional information on, for example, what to do if you did not receive a voting pass on March 1, how a person entitled to vote can authorize someone to vote for them, and that buying or selling votes is punishable is published here. The Public Entity of Bonaire is responsible for informing eligible voters about the Bonaire election. The campaign of the public body Bonaire is quadrilingual and aligned with the campaign of RCN so that they reinforce each other. Thus, this runs parallel to RCN’s campaign for Bonaire, St. Eustatius, and Saba.
